Concrete with mother-of-pearl-colored paint, diameter 130 cm

Katja Schenker had the imperfectly round sphere cast in concrete directly in a Styrofoam mold. Although the surface that was created in this way was sanded, it nonetheless retains a porous, holey surface that calls to mind a moon landscape when seen close-up. The sphere was sprayed with several coats of a lustrous, mother-of-pearl-colored paint. Placed on a gravel path in Fontanapark in Chur, it can and is meant to be rolled by visitors to different locations in the park during the course of the exhibition.
