tombac, 50 × 90 × 6 cm

Roger Boltshauser’s bronze reliefs make reference to the façade analysis work on the “Casa del Fascio” by Giuseppe Terragni in Como. The primary styrofoam models with a very fine and detailed gypsum plaster on top are reworked in additional steps and further developed into wall reliefs. They stand in a figurative sense for Boltshauser’s interest in space, structure, and mass.

The castings, which are created in tombac using the classical lost wax process, are left as raw castings, and some points were adapted by applying a patina to the raw casting.
