mehr als ein siebenzehntel, 2000–2001

Bronze, external diameter 260 cm

Stricker used hot wire to carve the entwined forms in two half-spheres of Styrofoam, which then served as the negative for a casting in bronze. The inside of the sculpture can be reached through three bulls-eyes and a door.

The entire process of producing the sculpture was simultaneously documented as part of an exhibition at the Kunstmuseum St. Gallen in 2000/2001: the steps in the process being carried out in the workshop could be viewed from the museum by means of a webcam. The step-by-step no longer necessary negative forms were brought to the Museum.
